What I love about mentoring is the ping pong that I get to have with my student. Its always great to see the swift development of their skills when an artist gets the opportunity to be sparred with on a one to one basis. Having the privilege of being a mentor, helps me to help you right where you are at, both skill and drawing wise. You will therefore only get to work with subjects that are uniquely relevant to you and your personal art growth.

There is of course not only one right way to draw, I can therefore only introduce you to the useful drawing tools and techniques that I have learned over many years and that other artists use in the professional animation and games industry today.

You decide the length of the course. It can be anything from a minimum of one session, to 1 hour pr week or several more, depending on the course you choose.

Portfolio review:

(This review is well suited for you who wish to improve your overall portfolio and get to know in specific detail, more about your strengths and weaknesses, as well as ideas of how you can improve your work. A portfolio can be used for job applications, school applications or other clientele etc. )

 

In this one time review, I will help you get to strengthen your portfolio pieces and drawing projects, by giving feedback to you about general draftmanship, colour, light, design and more. The aim is to help you develop a more targeted, focused portfolio, that showcases your absolute best skills and works,

Before the start of this course, I will need for you to send me your most polished portfolio, as well as a written text with your explanation of what you want to achieve with the portfolio (For example; if you want to target it to a specific company, or if you want it to showcase yourself as a Character Artist, generalist or other.) Please also let me know what you'd like to do / work with the most for a living, as well as what you dont want to work with, Feel free to write down specific questions also if you have any.

I will then after a thorough and careful review, send you back my written feedback, as well as elaborate explanatory sketch visuals, that will help guide you on how to apply the feedback. This will be delivered in writing and images, unless otherwise requested. Questions before the review and after are of course very welcome.

Animal drawing / Creature Design course:

(This course is suitable for those who are looking to get better at drawing animals, enrich their Creature Design skills as well as their knowledge of anatomy)

 

In this course, I help you strengthen your knowledge of animal anatomy and your general foundation of your animal and creature drawings. I will show you how it is essential to be able to navigate real animal and human anatomy, in order to create and draw convincing fantasy creatures (also called "Creature Design" in the Game and Film industry)

The course starts with me sending you a written PDF

with elaborate teaching materials, together with a drawing assignment designed just for you. You will then have a week to finish the assignement. At the end of said week you can then send me the assignment for review.

​

I will then after a careful review, send you back my written notes and feedback as well as elaborate explanetory sketches. This will be delivered in writing and images, unless otherwise requested. Questions hereafter are of course very welcome.

The course materials consists of either traditional paper and pencil or digital medias such as Photoshop CS, Gimp etc. If you work in other programs that is is perfectly fine too.​

The first drawing lesson is FREE! (Except the portfolio course)This is so you have the chance to try out a lesson and get to know me before you sign up for more! 

 

Note. For some, this may be a slightly challenging course, as you may have to draw things that can be difficult or which you have not drawn before - However do not let this frighten you, I will do my best to ensure it will be as fun as possible while learning to draw!

This course is suitable for the age groups of 15 years and above, beginners and more experienced.
